With this in mind, setting up an external Windows drive on your Mac might prove to be handy. Considering that many Macs out there have relatively minuscule amounts of onboard storage, installing Boot Camp to run Windows isn’t always a feasible option. I've opted to install GalliumOS on the internal, and have windows running off USB.Traditional Boot Camp installations can take up a lot of storage space on your Mac. Great I can run windows off a USB on a chromebook with such limited internal hard drive space. Update 2: Perfect! Bought a SanDisk Ultra Fit 64GB for cheap (it's tiny and barely noticeable plugged in), just finished creating a WinToUSB (GPT for UEFI) using a windows 10 圆4 iso. I will try "GPT for UEFI" and report back. Update 1: Okay so my USB was formatted with the following partition scheme "MBR for BIOS and UEFI". I've tried my old one, but it just blue-screens however I'm not sure if that's because it was created with both BIOS and UEFI support and not just UEFI (Install Windows 10 on USB Flash Drive)!. ![]() ![]() Just wondering if anyone has successfully manage to boot off a "Windows To Go" USB drive? However I'm only left with ~4GB free after the OS install. I've used coolstar's guide! to get Windows 10 installed, and everything's working great. I have the Toshiba Chromebook 2 (Swanky) which has 16GB of eMMC storage that's soldered onto the main board so there's no chance of upgrading it.
